Both Brian and Rachel were urged by friends to join a dating app to find love. They soon connected on the app and chatted for a few days before deciding to meet in person. For their first date they planned to meet up for a quick beer but ended up talking and laughing all night. They quickly became inseparable.

One weekend, Brian and Rachel booked a getaway weekend to a bed and breakfast in Wimberly. As a joke, Rachel had frisked Brian to see if he had an engagement ring on him but was unsuccessful. They spent the day on a wine tour and Brian surprised Rachel with champagne and cake waiting in their room. When Rachel went to check out the dessert she turned around to find Brian down on one knee. She said yes to his proposal and to the beautiful custom ring with diamonds and emeralds.
