Shanti Hall and Jon Coudron’s Italian Inspired Wedding by Kristin Ashley Weddings and Events
SWEET BEGINNINGS: Shanti and Jon met at the W Hotel in Austin for a blind date. What was meant to be “just drinks” turned into dinner over candlelight and five hours of incredible conversation and undeniable chemistry.
A PERFECT PROPOSAL: The couple went on their first European adventure together in the summer of 2015. Four days into their trip, Jon reserved an antique wooden boat to explore around Lake Como, Italy. The driver pulled up to the amazing Villa Balbianello where Jon got down on one knee and proposed! Later that evening, Shanti and Jon shared a romantic poolside dinner with a view of Lake Como and music from their very own saxophonist.
HUES SHE USED: Since Shanti loves monochromatic light colors, she knew white, gray and silver were the perfect tones for her special day. The colors coincided flawlessly with her romantic Italian wedding theme.
GET HER LOOK: Shanti walked down the aisle in a breathtaking Kollender gown with an ivory silk satin trumpet and an embellished V neckline. The embellished plunging back gave way to a stunning chapel train. Shanti wore a cathedral-length oyster veil with a beautiful beaded trim. She also added her mother’s antique dangling earrings as her “something borrowed.”
SAVORY SWEETS: The couple selected a three-tier square, tiramisu-flavored wedding cake with a gray buttercream exterior. The bottom tier was adorned with icing pearls and silver beads while the top had white flower icing adornments.
