The beautiful gardens of The Contemporary Austin at Laguna Gloria were the setting of Kathleen and Jared’s modern al fresco Austin wedding captured by Sophie Epton Photography. Guests dined on delicious cuisine and desserts from Royal Fig Catering while enjoying the scenery. Shibori details combined with show-stopping florals from Clementine Botanical Art and on-trend rentals from Loot Rentals gave this wedding a cool classic vibe that we adore!

Jared moved to Kathleen’s hometown of Beaumont into a house across the street from her grandmother. Her grandmother made certain to mention the new neighbor with a great smile and sweet dog to Kathleen, and after a few other people told her she had to meet this new addition to their small town, she gave in! They dated for a while, but both eventually moved away for school and work. They made sure to stay in touch and when they finally ended up in the same city, the pair was inseparable.
A summer trip to Charleston turned into the perfect proposal when Jared surprised Kathleen in their hotel lobby. Jared, who Kathleen thought was taking their dog for a walk, called Kathleen to come downstairs to meet him. When she arrived, she saw him standing by the fountain with their adorable dog Skeet wearing a bow tie and pouch around his neck. Kathleen happily accepted the proposal just as a mother and daughter walked up and asked to pet the cute pup!
