Kasey and Ed’s love story began during their college days at UT-Austin! While Kasey was busy playing soccer, Ed was always staying in the loop with her schedule and games. Later on down the road after Kasey continued her career as a professional athlete in Boston and Ed moved to Florida for a new job, the two reconnected in Austin, and the rest is history!
After a sentimental proposal on the beach in Kasey’s hometown, the meaningful details continued throughout their wedding day. Kasey’s dad passed away from cancer, and she was determined to honor him throughout the day. Some of the ways she achieved this was having her dad’s only brother walk her down the aisle. Her mom also walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of one of her dad’s favorite songs. But one of the sweetest details of all – she had a sample of her dad’s handwriting embroidered on the inside of her dress!
Despite the many challenges that come with planning a wedding, planning during a global pandemic takes challenging to a whole new level! According to Kasey, “Trying to plan a wedding during a pandemic isn’t for the faint of heart, but I would do it again in a second to get to experience the amount of love that was in that room!” The couple said the day was perfect from beginning to end, and they wouldn’t change a thing. From the gorgeous florals from Flora Fetish, outstanding accommodations from the JW Marriott and the delicious catering from Crave Catering, the day was exactly what the bride and groom dreamed of! Cheers to the Powers!

From the bride: “After the first look pictures with Ed and our friends and family, I was able to get a sneak peek of what the chapel looked like after Flora Fetish worked their magic! The Flora Fetish team were some of my favorite vendors to work with and when I tried to thank them for everything, I couldn’t get the words out without crying and I was just beyond thankful for them!”
