PERFECT PROPOSAL: The proposal was a complete surprise to Jen. Mike had arranged for a boat ride from the family lake house to a friend’s lake house on Lake LBJ. Jen was under the impression that they would be spending the evening with friends and family; however, when they arrived, there was a catered dinner for two setup on the dock. Jen asked where every body else was, and Mike let her know that, instead, they were just going to have “a little date” that night. After a dinner full of nervous conversation and laughing, Mike walked Jen around the shore where a bar cart with cake, champagne, and a ring were waiting. Mike then proposed on one knee, and the rest is history. The next day, they celebrated with both families at The Salt Lick in Driftwood.
AMAZING ALTAR: Jen and Mike’s ceremony was outdoors under a gazebo with beautiful oak trees shading their guests. The gazebo was adorned with a custom flower arrangement made by Clementine Botanical Art. Jen’s childhood friend’s dad conducted the ceremony, and Mike’s dad and sister both sang “Come Thou Fount” as a duet.
BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: The bride carried a simple and colorful assortment of white, pink and rose-colored roses with a mix of spring flowers built by Clementine Botanical Art.
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: When the newlyweds boarded a riverboat bound for their hotel after the wedding, they were able to watch in slow motion their parents and closest family and friends celebrating and sending them off into their new lives. It was a moment that helped the couple realize just how blessed and loved they are.
