Tested and Tried through Distance and Time
Noah and I are the true definition of “distance makes the heart grow fonder.” Noah is in the United States Navy and has unfortunately been deployed more than we could have ever imagined (four out of the six years we have been together!). Back in September 2018, after our longest time apart (13 months), Noah came home and surprised me with a trip to beautiful Hawaii. We spent a week on the gorgeous beaches, hiking, swimming and enjoying our precious time together. On our last night as we walked along the beach, Noah popped the question under the starry night sky and I couldn’t say “YES” fast enough! It was such a sincere and special moment for the both of us! I couldn’t have wanted a proposal any other way. Noah made me feel so loved. It was an intimate and emotional moment between the two of us especially after having spent so much time apart.
We have been planning our dream wedding for the past two years, but unfortunately COVID and Noah’s military obligations have completely derailed our plans of a 4/3/21 wedding. Noah will not be home now until May 2022, and we are hoping to finally celebrate our love then. In the mean time, we are both so grateful to be healthy and happily engaged! We look forward to continuing to plan for our special day and getting to celebrate our long distance love together soon enough!
