We’ve also had the opportunity to collaborate with the most talented wedding pros in Austin to share dozens of inspiring editorials. In just a few short months, the glossy pages that we’ve poured our hearts into will hit the newsstand, and we can’t wait to share it with you all! Wishing you a wonderful and safe holiday!
Seemingly plucked straight from an old world European fairytale, we can’t get over the dreaminess of this styled shoot filled with nostalgic Norwegian wedding inspiration captured by Elle Reaux Photography! Set in the countryside-like setting of The Barn at Swallows Eve, earthy tones grounded the modern decor elements of the shoot like the hand calligraphy place cards and invitations from Design to Flourish, while eye-catching splashes of punchy orange and rich forest green accented throughout in elements like the plush lounge area, with seating and decorative pieces provided by Scavenged Vintage. Lounging in a gown selected for its ultra-romantic charm, the model bride wore the nod-to-Victorian-era high-neck lace overlay gown from Unbridaled paired with delicate rose gold and diamond rings from Eliza Page. Keeping her look whimsical yet modern, Beautymark Agency created a beauty look of equal parts naturally fresh and subtly glam, with golden and warm-toned makeup paired back with an intricately styled up-do. Keeping with the enchanted romance feel, the model bride carried a bouquet filled with classic blooms, paired with leafy green pieces and soft wildflower-like stems, expertly designed by Wildly Cultivated Floral Design. Single blooms of the same variety were paired with a fresh cut orange as the perfect embellishments to the eye-catching three-layer cake from Sweet Treets Bakery. With so many unique elements to this shoot, we’re keen to take note and plan our own modern day story book event! Cheers!

While we love perusing beautiful wedding after beautiful wedding, it’s always so fascinating to hear the ins-and-outs of the planning process! King protea, rose velvet accents and late night tacos were just some of the favorite details that made up Amber and Trevor’s memorable celebration. Their love of God was reflected in a deeply moving ceremony and then followed by a relaxing happy hour and fun-filled reception. Each space in the venue was utilized to its fullest. The groom’s birthday weekend was recognized with a special birthday cake complete with celebratory sparkler candles, and guests danced the night away to end the evening! Read on as Austin wedding planner Kelly Bottoms from Pearl Events Austin shares her insider tips and notes in this Wedding Walkthrough of Amber and Trevor’s moody outdoor wedding!

From the planner: “People are often afraid of ‘moody’ colors or being too dark. I loved being able to step outside the box and bring in some new color palettes! Amber and Trevor wanted their wedding to be beautiful, have great food and end with a giant dance party! They weren’t overly stressed about what was going to happen every minute, but wanted guests to enjoy themselves.”
“Amber and I worked closely together on the overall design and vendor selection for florals and rentals. The florals played the biggest role in bringing the vision to life. Becky at Bouquets of Austin was the perfect fit for this wedding! Amber and I had complete trust in her to execute exactly what we had discussed and incorporate anything she thought would enhance the look.”
“We kept the ceremony décor minimal, with a brass arbor adorned with florals. Three ring bearers preceded Amber’s entrance, one of whom was just learning to walk which made for a very cute scene!”
“Following the ceremony, guests headed to the Butterfly Garden for Cocktail Hour. After a stationed dinner and toasts, guests moved to the Chapel for first dances. The DJ got everyone on the dance floor with a heavily rap playlist.”
“Amber would say, ‘my Pinterest board makes me look so dark and depressing!’ In reality, Amber is the opposite of that. She wanted the wedding to be unique and incorporate natural elements. We initially had other napkins ordered, but I couldn’t stop thinking about rose velvet napkins. Amber had a TON of velvet on her Pinterest board, so I knew she had to have them. It didn’t take much to convince her, and Becky at Bouquets of Austin wrapped them with brown leather and added foliage and florals for an extra touch.”
From the bride: “I am what you would call a chill bride — I had a simple vision and Kelly Bottoms at Pearl Events Austin executed it. I learned to skip all the learning and hire a wedding planner who knows everybody in the wedding circuit. She exceeded every expectation of my vision and also became my friend through the process.”
With bold, saturated colors reminiscent of deep ocean hues, this Mediterranean-inspired blue-toned styled shoot at Ma Maison gives us wanderlust vibes right here in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Coordinated and designed by Sweet Laurel Weddings and Events, this wedding inspiration played off the venue’s European villa feel and embraced the Tuscan-esque, rustic aesthetic with bright pops of blue, teal and white amongst green and gold. Florals by Reiley + Rose complemented not only the tablescape and bride’s sunkissed glow, but added an element of texture along with the dark wooden tablescape. A three-tiered cake by 2Tarts Bakery worked perfectly with the theme, and jewels by Nicole Mera added a touch of sophistication and vintage class. From porcelain and pottery to wooden elements, climbing greenery and a golden landscape with rolling hills, we’re transported right to the Tuscan hillside via this Mediterranean-inspired shoot. We’re obsessing over so many of these details and know you will, too! Happy scrolling!
